For many of my bands, the competitive season for 2018 is coming to an end (or has ended already).

I am proud and thankful to be a part of the creative team for these groups (see list below). My best shows, my best work, has always come as a result of being a part of an inspired creative team. My thanks and appreciation to all who stimulated me and challenged me to do my best work this season.

There are also a couple of groups who are already thinking about 2019. I love this, and I’m appreciative of this forward-thinking group of directors.

Thanks, Eugene Cottrell at Pinecrest High School in North Carolina for pushing me (and yourself) to develop another intriguing show concept. The struggle to find something fresh each year is sometimes frustrating, but we will get there! (Maybe today?)

Thanks also to Ken Beard at Woodward Academy in Georgia. We have a show concept on the table already. I’m looking forward to working with you, Ken, on a show design from the ground up. I enjoyed working with you this year on a re-sale show. You took it and made it your own. (Thanks also, and a shout-out to Tim Church and Keven Boyle for helping bring that show to life. And a big thanks as well to Robert Carter, who designed the original concept.)

I’m looking forward to another great writing and competitive season. Many thanks to all who made this possible.
